At the last minute, we decided to pull a few friendly pranks on our kids. So, while they were sleeping, we painted mustaches on them. (Thanks to my friend The Doodle Girl for her awesome idea.) I used mascara, and it was pretty tricky to paint these 'staches without waking the kids. Not my best work.
Mia woke up first and was happily oblivious. Miles woke up with a case of low blood sugar. As soon as he saw Mia and heard us say "April Fools'," he started wiping his upper lip.
He was even less excited about having "eggs" sunny-side up, even when he figured out they were just vanilla yogurt with apricots.
Toward the end of the day, he perked up and really enjoyed his "lemonade." It was really Jello. He thought it was pretty funny and enjoyed the treat. We were having so much fun we forgot to take pictures, so this stock photo will have to do.

Someday I hope to have a mustache as good as Miles' and Mia's. Next year you should go for the full beard and uni-brow.
